Set in a secluded valley, Lahontan is a peerless golf club community in North Lake Tahoe. Just a short drive from the area’s renowned ski resorts and four-season pleasures, Lahontan pairs meticulous design with some of nature’s most thrilling work. Wooded hills, meadows and towering stands of pines mingle with aspens that provide glorious fall color.
Lahontan offers its residents marvelous views, and DMB worked to preserve them. Approximately half of the community is dedicated to open space and an exceptional golf course by Tom Weiskopf.
The architecture at Lahontan reflects the tradition of America’s historic lodges. Massive wood beams and glacier-carved rocks accent the timber-framed buildings, which echo the scale of the land.
Camp Lahontan provides nearly boundless family fun. The Camp’s wonderful forest setting includes five acres for volleyball, badminton, basketball, tennis, swimming and even horseshoe pitching.
DMB designed Lahontan to flow with the topography of the landscape. Community trails wind gently through Lahontan, bringing nature closer to residents, who are free to explore more than a hundred acres of pristine Sierra forestland throughout the year. Generously-sized homesites sit lightly on Lahontan’s 720 acres, home to a variety of residents, including deer, geese and other native species.

The Lahontan Golf Club offers the finest in hospitality and amenities, placing it firmly in the tradition of Tahoe’s stately retreats. The club’s Tom Weiskopf golf course has earned numerous accolades for its design, which integrates the natural setting with ease. The rustically elegant clubhouse, called the Lodge, is the single largest timber-framed building constructed in the last 50 years.
